Lynx season awards

Well the locker room is cleared out and it's been days since we spoke but you cant get rid of me yet! I'm here one last time to pass on some season awards. Thanks for updating and having fun with me this season, I'll be keeping track and crossing my fingers for everyone's career.. In the VHLE or VHLM next season. GO LYNX GO 

 

 

First up is the "Deadliest Pouncher Medal" (offensive mastermind)

Already known for his ability to produce points from a previous stint in Mexico City only helped start this youngsters breakout season with a bang, steadily improving each game with better teammates boosted him even more and at times rode at the top of the leaderboard in several categories, at the end though he was consistently representing the Lynx in the top 10 and was part of both power play units most of the season making him the teams secret weapon or should I say offensive mastermind.. Night in and night out.

Our second award is the "Mixed Breed Medal" (best two way threat)

Although he is mostly known for his explosive offensive opportunities whenever the team needs it most.. Ivanovitch also played a huge part on our PK unit early and was pretty good despite our penalty kill being at the bottom of the league, supplying us with hits, plenty of zone time and had a relentless effort regardless of the situation to keep the other team busy whenever trying to make something happen, he also played on the blueline! Add in the 41 goals while taking on the extra ice and we have a player who could play anywhere in the lineup.

Now the third honor we have is the "Coddle Wall Medal" (defensive stud)

Clarke doesn't stand out from the other nominations right away because of a two way style game that mostly consistent of offensive gains but he came up big on the penalty kill with shorthanded goals and constantly had his stick on the puck which kept it out of our zone and into out possession for another attempt, ending the season with a +23 during even strength chances, he also had a habit for hitting and stripping the puck away from smaller builds so all around he played a better defensive game than the rest on our list but it was close.

The fourth award of the night is the "Meow! Meow!! Meow!!! Ribbon" (motivation specialist)

Coming from a rival team meant nothing to Bond as they quickly adjusted and made the best of a surprising situation, not only did they made an impact with timely passes and long bomb assists, they also did articles, was active during sim appearances and the locker room chants kept the Lynx in the oppositions heads while motivating the bench.. If it was a home or an away game.

Never have I seen a player evolve so quickly after joining a team and the impact made was even more building into a player the team really needed. He tried every task and maxed each week early, cheered on the team through wins and losses, applied points right away and got involved with league ventures.. His name is still said by the coaching staff as they aim to acquire another player like Arcanum in the future because his potential is through the roof!

Nobody heard of Wilson in the locker room because he only showed up to games and went to work, on the forum we had constant conversations and he adapted quickly to what was going on with an excellent build that almost won him rookie of the year in the VHLM, in the silence he was able to keep up with other top rookies earning TPE and scored many many big goals for the team.. It's hard to say if the crowd was cheering for us or Manny Wilson most nights.

When Marino joined the team he asked what we needed and applied willingly, so with that his offensive added a punch the team forever needed while keeping his build smart to keep up the consistency, he played on both specialty units, spent time with Nesbitt, Arcanum, Robb, Machine and late joiner Faith Love Hope, he also filled in the top spots for our star offensive, defensive and extra man lines perfectly like a nice fitting glove, ultimately making him the teams most used player after the trade and potentially in the playoffs)

Now the eighth award and one of my favorites is the "I'm A Big Cat Now Glass Hockey Stick & Puck" (biggest improvement)

After having a lot of ups and downs from his first contract in the league Young rose to the occasion and helped lead the team through it's rough part at the start of the season and earned even more TPE than he did in the past proving he can keep up with the other rookies, quickly getting into it and applying an interesting build after an NHLer it seemed like it worked as he took home the most assists in net, shutouts and had enough wins to be a legit top 4 goaltender in other managers eyes near the end of the season.

In the 72 games played this season Nesbitt amounted 500 shots, hits and shot blocks which is 6.94 physical chances per game, he also added in 60 points with only 40 scoring and played 27+ minutes per game (quadruple shifted the first quarter), on the other side of things TPE earning was top notch and if we had better luck in the playoffs I know the 90 defense he had would have been key in long games, oddly it actually also made our offense better because of motivation? (or was this the meta destroyer build we needed before the changes? Who knows!)
