S83 VHLM Draft names Power Ranking.

Yes, it's top tier content time. I will rank the best names in the draft. No not the best players, the best names. I'm pretty sure that one of the top names will actually skip the draft and go to the E. But I'll include her anyways, cause it's my list, I can do what I want.

 

1. Velociraptor Greg @samx Just an absolute legend move to lean into the meme and make the Velociraptor/chicken nugget emote crossover name we all needed in our lives.

2. Sock Monkey @chikn Inanimate objects playing hockey is starting to be a bit of a trend in the VHL at this point, and I'm all for it. It's not The Board Game Clue On Skates, but it's the best inanimate object in this draft!

3. Napoleon Dynamite @thadthrasherAs long as he does the dance every time he scores. I'm all for for this dynamite center taking the league over.

4. Boston @CanucksFan The irony of naming your player Boston as a Canucks fan just gets to me for some reason, don't judge.

5. Callum Murray @Berocka The name is a bit fishy tbh, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it sucks. Because that would be roasting him needlessly. So we have to go with Berockas recreate here.

 

Since the other Velociraptor isn't even a Velociraptor I had to DQ him entirely, I'm afraid. Maybe I missed someone? Maybe I didn't. I'm pretty sure at least some other recreate names are references that I'm just not catching, which is fine. Because this list clearly doesn't matter, and is just my opinion. Coincidentally almost everyone on this list will go early in the draft (or possibly skip it in Sock Monkey's case). So this is your hot take VHL insider scoop of the day. Meme name = Higher draft stock. Totally causality there, nothing to do with recreates being more likely to have meme names and also being more likely to go higher in the draft. I will hear none of it!
