At the center of the new core is up and coming superstar Saku Kotkakoivu. Its going to be a season with many ups and downs for the Wrangler's but there is no better player to lead them through the darkness and into the light. Congratulations Saku Kotkakoivu on being named the Calgary Wrangler's Captain for season 83.Alternate Captain:RW - Phil "The Rock" Johnson @Phil Phil Johnson is the last remaining piece of the old core. He is going into his final season and was insistent that he wanted to finish out his career with Calgary and play along side some of the brightest new talent the VHL has to offer. He has captained this team in the past and because of his dedication to this franchise I could not think of a better player to be apart of our leadership group. Congratulations to Phil "The Rock" Johnson on being named an Alternate Captain for the Calgary Wrangler's.Alternate Captain:C - Daniel Janser @Daniel JanserDaniel Janser has future captain written all over him. He joined this Wrangler's team as a rookie during their last season with the old core and is going to be a huge part of the new core going forward. He is the new voice of the Calgary locker room and has made massive strides in his development over such a short period of time. He is absolutely deserved to be apart our leadership group and we would like to congratulate Daniel Janser on being named an Alternate Captain for the Calgary Wranglers.
