Renaissance Cup Final Game 2 - Bratislava Watchmen vs Vasteras Iron Eagles

Game 1 was a tight game as one goal was scored by Vasteras. It proved to be enough to win that game. Game 2 also proved to be close as it was also decided by one goal. To start off game 2, Alf Larsson scored in the closing minutes of period one to give Bratislava their first goal (as well as first lead) of the series. The first intermission came and went and soon, period two was underway. Penalties ended up costing Vasteras in this period. It cost them two conceded goals with Hammar Voss and Sock Monkey both scoring on powerplays to extend the Bratislava lead to 3-0. Not ideal if you are Vasteras. Looking to claw back, Vasteras ended up scoring a goal six minutes later, courtesy of Benjamin Franklin Chiang. Guess you could say he took precedence. Puns aside, this was the last goal of the second, bringing Bratislava within two. The Iron Eagles rallied together in the second intermission and came out to the third period looking refreshed. They outshot the Watchmen in the third 11-6 in the third frame. 4 minutes in, they scored to bring them within one. However, despite their third period effort, the Watchmen were able to close it out and won the game.
