 Toronto  vs  New York 

 

After breaking news earlier this weekend of the regime change in New York, the Americans players came out for this contest versus Toronto with a renewed sense of urgency. Lochlan Chisolm would open the scoring for the Americans with a buzzer beater at the end of the first period. With less than two seconds left, Chisolm took a last ditch-effort blast from the point to beat the Legion netminder. The powerplay marker gave New York the lead heading into intermission, and it proved to be a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Sven Eightnine doubled their lead with another last-minute goal at the end of the second period to make it 2-0. Halfway through the third, the Americans' power play would strike again as Pierre Emile Bouchard netted his fifth othe season. Legion start Matty Fire would answer with a late marker, but it wouldn't be enough as New York downed the Legion by a final score of 3-1.
