Mook 120
Full Name: Fedir Okranitz Age: 19 Height (inches): 6'4Weight (lbs.): 197Birthplace: Torez, Ukraine Fedir Okranitz was born to be on the ice. After strapping on the pads at 6 years old he knew it was his calling. The burst of adrenaline he felt when stopping his first breakaway was unmatchable in anything else he has experienced, he lives for the feeling of being the last chance between the puck entering the net. 13 years he has spent preparing himself for making his first step into the VHLM, and his day is finally here, and he plans to make the most out of the opportunity. . Raised in Torez, a Ukrainian city with heavy roots in the mining industry, his parents did everything they could to support his dreams of playing hockey. His father spent as much time as he could in the mines in order to bring extra money, while his mother worked for a small cleaning business. All of the time his parents were gone meant young Fedir was left alone quite often, so at the young age of 5 he began to learn to fend for himself. With his parents coming close to the end of their careers, and no means of money coming in, Fedir now has an opportunity to take care of his parents, who gave everything in order to give their son the chance to play hockey. Fedirs name may sound familiar to some, coming out of the U18 world championships playing for Team Ukraine, he was voted top goaltender which came as no surprise to anyone who has seen him play before. The 19 year old goaltender is extremely focused in the blue paint and is able to track the puck through traffic in front of the net, combine that his lightning quick reflexes and you get quite a show. His amazing saves have been showcased on TSN’s highlight of the night and seen by millions worldwide. His size is also an asset, standing at 6 foot 4 inches and weighing just under 200 pounds, he is able to use it to his advantage cutting off angles but it has also been pointed out as a weakness as it hinders his ability to drop into the butterfly quickly and he has a tendency to move slower. Developing his ability to eat up rebounds will be the key to his success, as he has a tendency to give teams more chances than he should. Fedir’s day has arrived, and he looks to make a splash in the VHLM, with sights on being the league’s top goaltender he has been putting in maximum effort in training. His goals don’t stop there, with his eventual jump into the VHL, being a highly sought after goalie is a dream. Having teams making big moves just to have him on their team because of his reputation of keeping the pucks out of his net. His final goal, hoisting the cup over his head, looking at his parents and saying thank you. It all begins with the VHLM draft, Okranitz is ready, is the league? Senior Admin Will 4,660 Posted September 29, 2014 Senior Admin Share Posted September 29, 2014 Content: 5/5 Alright, there was really no need for this to be docked. It was on the shorter side, and perhaps could have been a bit more in depth, but you did cover what the rubric asked and I'll give it to you. You will go over strengths/weaknesses for in depth in your players biography, so I'm fine with the fact that you briefly went over them. Grammar: 1/1 puck = pucks Appearance: 1/1 Looks good. Over 500 words?: 1/1 Yes. Overall: 8/8 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/12502-claimedrookie-profile-fedir-okranitz/#findComment-129199 Share on other sites
