The Toronto Legion have had a very busy off season and it all began with a trade with Vasteras Iron Eagle just before the S40 VHL Entry Draft. The Legion traded their 1st and Vasteras 1st in S41 for 5th and 6th overall in the S40 draft. That would give them 3rd, 5th and 6th overall in the first round. With the 3rd overall GM Edgar selected Tyler Cote, a star in the making center that will lead them for seasons to come. Then before the 4th selection was made, the VHL commissioner announced a trade between Helsinki and Toronto. Helsinki had sent Toronto 4th Overall for 6th and 15th overall, just like that Edgar was back to the podium to make another pick. With the 4th pick the Legion selected Jerrick Poole and just like that Toronto had their future on defence. Edgar wasn't done there as he had the 5th pick and with that pick he selected Sachimo Zoidberg a up and coming forward who will enjoy success with Cote and Sundberg.

It was a great 1st round for the Legion and they finished the draft by adding 4 more players in rounds 2 through 5. It might be the start of the rebuild but the future looks good in Toronto.
