North American Conference review:

A new season is upon us and teams are making trades and free agent signings as they gear up for a run on the Continental Cup.  The Warsaw Predators had a winning formula last season and as they make their run for two in a row, they made just a few moves with their salary cap near the top.  Let’s look at a few moves and signings in the North American conference this off-season and see just how the Preds stack up against a few of the busiest clubs.

DC DRAGONS:

DC has a stacked club with an amazing goalie (always a good start).  With returning beasts Ronan Lavelle, Ryan Vidot, Nezuko, and recent trade addition Darth Kaprizov their front line looks formidable.  On Defense, they added solid producing dman Milan Dvorak to be added with a top 3 defenseman (maybe #1) in the league in Tui Sova.  With this lineup DC looks to battle for top spot in the North American league and shouldn’t be looked over.

SEATTLE BEARS:

The S84 runner up still fields an amazing team with huge TPE earners and serious talent.  In goal Dusty Wilson is stopping pucks and has earned some serious playoff experience in his short time in the league.

Their top 4 at forwards are scary but their defense is even more so.  Led by Hulk Hogan 2, Max Torq (great name btw), and Mikhail Kovalchuk they are seriously stacked.  They look to remain competitive all season.

CHICAGO PHOENIX:

Seems like just yesterday this team was at the bottom of the league.  They proved really quickly how a few smart draft picks and moves makes them a serious contender.  The addition of goalie, Cole Pearce is insane to go with a tough earning D core.  Bo Johansson is a TPE earning freak and since his rookie year is making a name for himself among the league’s best defensemen.

At forward they have the performance enhancing user(not proven….yet), The Board Game Clue on Skates, sophomore stud Scotty Sundin, PJ Daniels, and Baby Bob.  They are a difficult team to play against.

Dark Horse club in NA::  NEW YORK AMERICANS

The Americans have a tough few season but I feel this season they will turn it around.  They have added goal phenom Taylor Mourning and tough guy Henri le Massif, along with Poopy Peepants on Defense and Augustus Kennedy in net.  They also have a deep pool of prospects that give me hope this team brings the pain this season.

VANCOUVER WOLVES

It seems Vancouver is always a tough club, and this season is no different.  They were busy this off-season adding Nathan Powers on Defense to go with a pretty solid d core.  In goal, Brandt Fuhr is a quality earner looks ready to meet any challenge.  On offense they drafted guaranteed earner and stud, Henry Eagles who looks like he is VHL Ready.  Nico Pearce looks poised to win a scoring title and is complimented by insane talent in Anze Miklavz, Alexandre Leduc, and Dogwood Maple.  Every other team in the NA is hoping that the Vancouver nightlife gets to be too much for the club, and they struggle because of it!!!!!

ultra overlooked: Calgary Wranglers

Yes I did.  Was at 500 words.   They will be on next week’s spot.   By no means overlooking them.  Off season is tough to find shit to write about so going in spurts
