hedgehog337 3,483
Title.   Europe is boring as ever  I mean, title. Pretty much every team has solidified their position outside of two. Honestly, I was expecting Davos to run away in post Boobery trade. But London found back their scoring mojo and right now are on 7 win streak. Only 2 points away with 3 games in hand, it might be a tense fight for a non wildcard position. We can see that Jerome is indeed a big factor in this fight. Turned this team from hopless mid to something more respectable, gotta give him credit for that.  Other than that, nothing. Malmo managed to run away from Prague and will wait for the conclusion of Davos/London fight. Warsaw apparently already took the Victory Cup. Moscow just chugging along at this point as well as the rest 3 bottom teams. Likely Riga takes the best initial draft lotto odds.   NA goes hard still  TITLE. Though even here we can see two teams separating from others...wait, there's another one??  - these two looks favorable so far. Barring any STHS playoff shenanigans they could face each other in NA finals. I also have to say - finally Calgary looks like a legit contender, not a leftover. All of them playoff appearances since last cup in S62 and only one finals to brag about after. They probably could take the title for the most wildcard/first round exits among all VHL teams. But maybe it indeed changes this season as Janser popped off and elevated their offense to the new level. Something they didnt have for a very long time.  - there is indeed another one. Only one point from Vancouver too. Outside of LA this is the most head scratching team in the league. For the most part they've been middling, but somehow find themselves very close from the second place. Bana dark magic on work once again I see. Everything that could go in their way, happened so far. Chicago with their unattractive offensive output, a team below collapsing right before the season ending and LA/NY/Toronto never being better than Seattle in the first place. I'm not sure about their chances in this playoffs, but I feel it doesn't matter much to them anymore. The projected last hoorah for this core is not gonna end up in whimper, that's for sure.  - huh? And here I was thinking they're about to get rid of that DC MID stamp, but this ain't it. If they were hoping for Bubbles to cover up their recent offensive shortcomings, this is not how it's done. Now DC finds themselves at the wildcard place and by looks of and this was not necessary imo. *Insert DC offensive vision went RC joke*  - now this is the real nitty gritty of the playoff fight. I'm not really sure how did NY catch up their California counterparts, but here we are. Chicago is 2 points away from LA, but also three games in hand. Honestly, I'm not sure how did Stars manage to survive so far considering their performance being the definiton of mid, but Simon continues to bullshitting. And as an owner of LA's first I will hate on this. I was also about to hate on the fact their GM Rockstar forgot to put a backup last sim...before realizing both of these games were lost. Though I'm not sure anymore. I was hearing IR had his own pet and a relative passing away in one week so...maybe it was more on Fonzi? Anyways, extra two games for Vandelay did gave a whole 0 points to them so no harm done so far. However, I tend to be very petty if things don't go my way so they better fix this mistake before next sim. Also, Chicago has to stop to show us boring offense. I know their biggest offseason acqusition Nano is another pass first guy, but damn. And NY...well they are fighting, that's cool to see. I'm still waiting for Chiang to pop off someday. Cause his current performance is the classic STHS shafting at it's best imo.  - credit to them making their season more respectable. Matter of fact, they are not even out from the playoff fight yet. They managed to cut the deficit from LA to 6 points which is way better than almost 20 they had at early season. Also, they are playing the Stars twice...this should be spicy. Still, there is a feeling their late season push came in too late. And the retirement of Busser makes me think the rebuild isn't far away. For now, they can enjoy the better days and hope for a miracle.  That's it for today. In the middle of my writings my keyboard decided to be a bitch for some reason so the rest was pain in the ass for me. I feel like something will be smashed today.  That's it and I'm out.
