Today, Gorlab made a strong point (in a way that Jardy and company found to be controversial).  I am not here to argue that, but rather to present a solution-ish.  As it stands right now, many members will keep their player in the VHLM for an additional season to benefit from the VHLM achievement tracker and practice facility, a bonus that can net an individual up to 30TPE (give or take a few since I didn’t want to calculate how many weeks of PF can be claimed).  This bonus is enough to influence members to discard large amounts of unclaimed TPE (like 20TPE sometimes! WHAT?!?) to stay in the minors.  The solution:

Second year achievement tracker maxes at 8TPE.  Assuming there are 8 practice facilities a season (Yes, I changed the number. Shut up.), this means that an individual who stays down just for TPE, will only gain 16TPE.  This is still substantial for players who really need the TPE, but for those who need to discard ~10TPE, it seems very much like a waste of resources, and may discourage this type of behaviour.  This solution does not prevent individuals staying down because they want to win ROTY or some stupid shit however.

This idea may have been mentioned in the Gorlab thread.  TBH, I stopped reading after one page, so if it was, sorry to whoever proposed it first.

It should be a matter of if he wanted to discard or not. Any member who has been around like he has, knows or can find out that when you get 175 TPE, you will play in the VHL. This whole "forfeit TPE" thing is a little outrageous tbh. Just take the TPE, go play for you team and quit crying. Doomsday played in the VHL because he had to and got like 8 points all season. Do you see him causing a huge problem about it? No.
