So, the draft happened this week. I was kind of prepared to go either #2 or #3 in the draft as DC didn't even reach out or have any kind of communication with me. I knew Toronto was interested at 3rd Overall, but I wasn't sure if Helsinki was very interested. I heard from one of their players, but their GM and AGM never contacted me. I'd be lying if I said that was a big red flag and had I went to any team that didn't reach out to me, I probably wouldn't be as committed to the team as I have been with previous players.

However, best case scenario happened and a team actually traded up to get me. Vancouver Wolves GM @Frank moved a bunch of future picks in order to get my player. I've played with Frank on many different teams and have been pretty close to him especially in the graphic community of the site. I really like the guy, and if I'm being honest, the number one priority for me is to get on a team where I mesh well with the GM. I'm extremely excited to have landed in Vancouver, and they seem to have a really solid core member group there. I think I'm especially excited to really grow with the franchise and help continue a very solid legacy the franchise has.

It has been a long road to the VHL - I think it's opened my eyes as to what it's like to be a new member. It's inspired my to apply to be a VHLM GM, because I think I could offer a lot to that role. I was really underwhelmed with the experience leading up to the VHL, but I know I've found a good home. Frank actually went out of his way to try and get Analfist into the league faster, even though I was prepared to endure a year in the gulag E. I've found some inspiration in being overlooked. I'm usually pretty motivated to be top of my draft class, but now I have motivation to make Analfist great in terms of the trade that Helsinki and Vancouver made.

But most importantly, I've cemented myself as NUMBER TWO. That is my fifth player drafted 2nd overall. 3/4 of those being HOF players, notttttabigdeal...
