Is this where I can quibble with the new rules/the 12 hour clock in general? Because last year it seemed like it was extremely stringent - if somebody took 12:01, they were getting skipped and potentially losing TPE. The new rules seem to be making it even more strict. And like, if somebody's making a pick at 8 pm ET on a Friday, I'm sleeping and probably not going to be checking the VHL to make a pick by 8 am the next morning. Worried it's a bit exclusionary for people who aren't living on the discord or site.

It's a bit more forgiving in a way, instead of being on a back to back pick and getting DQ'd if you miss the full 24 hour window, you get 12 hours for both and the chance to make up the first skip.

 

Regarding the timing issue, I'd likely say either you'd need to be more willing to use Discord to make the selection in the morning when you wake up or communicate your pick to your group manager if you're up next and know it's an odd window. I've never seen a group manager who won't help out or be considerate if there's communication in advance of the pick.
