England Lost And I Am Sad

I completely forgot I hadn't done a PT this week until a few hours before the deadline and I've not been paying attention to the sim at all since New York got eliminated from the playoffs, so I'm going to have to throw one out there desperately. It's also coming off the back of England losing in the final of the Euro's so I'm obviously not in the best of moods. 

 

A relatively interesting development in the "Broken Everything" storyline is that Wayne Gretzky has now overtaken another player from the Season 92 Draft Class in TPE. Gretzky entered the VHL Draft 325 TPE behind Dom's player Vlad Von Carstein but, admittedly mainly thanks to Dom not updating for a month, Gretzky (who is now on 630 TPE) is now 40 TPE ahead of Von Carstein nearly three full seasons after the Season 92 Draft. This moves Gretzky to ninth in the Season 92 Draft Class and currently only 16 TPE behind eighth place Karol Lamb. Passing Lamb should happen in due course since they have reduced their weekly output to 7-9 capped TPE per week whereas Gretzky is still max earning, but it's going to be difficult to make the next jump as Kimi Raikkonen and Giorgiy Costanzov are seventh and sixth place in TPE respectively and they still hold a convincing 100+ TPE lead over Gretzky. 

 

We'll see how things can go next season for Gretzky. I was expecting this season to be a rough one as, when playing on a team of talented players, it is always difficult to shine when you are the worst in the unit and so the just over one point every two games did not surprise me. I'm at a level now though where I should be able to start making an impact in the sim for Season 95, hopefully my updates will help with that change but I don't think it will be a Most Improved candidate improvement, maybe at best like improving to the 60 point mark. 

 

VHL Birthday is round the corner, that's always a nice boost for the TPE count. Don't know what we're going to do this year but I look forward to the rewards. 

 

I just checked my award predictions for the season and apparently I didn't pick anyone for the Boulet, so fuck me I guess. Luckily it looks like I've got at least four TPE from elsewhere, maybe even six if some player awards go my way and up to potentially eight if Moscow can win the cup. Regardless I'll be happy with 4 TPE as I've not had the best of times with award predictions recently and that would cap off a pretty darn good fantasy season for myself having got 5 TPE from the Super Coach and 6 TPE from VHFL. 

 

Since I have 30 odd words left I'll quickly mention my favourite player from the Season 30's Conner Low, who was an absolute beast of a defenseman that I don't think we every really saw the likes of afterwards.

Did the same, tried to put Dixon in after I brought it up to Josh that he wasn't on the list (happens every time someone retires after the deadline but before the season), and then when I saved him in there it left it blank, so that could've been what happened to you as well
