The answer is: you can't.

Moving on to other topics. I visited the VHL Discord general server today and I discovered a shocking piece of information concerning VHLE team Rome Gladiators. Their GM left without saying a word. A new GM was brought in not so long ago. Very little is known about what happened to the old GM exactly, but what we do know is that their GM career took a dramatic left turn. If and when the GM had done a solid or even a decent job in Rome, they could have eventually made their way up to a VHL GM role.   What makes the decision to walk away even more mysterious is the fact the GM took over the Rome GM job one month ago.

One can only wonder what could make someone walk away from a prestigious position without saying a word. Thanks to my experience in the world of simulation sports, I am led to believe the GM was not able to say no to the admiration and lustful looks they received when they mentioned their new position as a Rome GM in VHLE to people they met in various social events. I have never been a GM myself, but I have numerous times mentioned my achievements as a player, if I was not ready for what often followed; who knows if I would even be here today? The level of temptation has to be at least twice for the general managers as they are the ones with all the power. When so many want to be with you and they invite you over to who knows where to do who knows what, it is easy to think those people are your friends and they are interested in you, but most of the time it is the aura and energy of a simulation league player or a GM that draws the people to you. As the GM took over the VHLE GM role only a short time ago I have to think nobody told them about the dangers of the job or the GM did not take the dangers seriously enough.

Where could the GM be now? I have to assume they are right now sitting in the green room of some comedy club with attractive people and just having a good time. More than likely they got invited over to the green room when they told who they were to the bouncer. That is quite an ugly move to make and shows the prestige and power have gotten to their heads. The "don't you know who I am?" - type of behavior also shows they are still getting used to all the fame that comes with the Rome GM job as they did not believe they would be recognized and invited to the green room anyway. I can not blame the GM as you do all kinds of things to impress someone. Not everybody can get to a green room of a comedy club, so whoever they were on a date with is more than likely impressed.

In my opinion, the GM made a mistake in walking away without saying anything as the attention they receive will soon fade away after most people learn they do not have the Rome GM job anymore. Then the GM will discover that so many were interested only in the prestige and power the GM held. A real learning experience for the GM, but also for the league as new GMs should be made perfectly aware of what they will face when they start in a GM role.
