I know that I have talked about this already and while it might be fun to beat a dead horse; it not something we really should be doing!! LOL!! But with Toronto making the VHL final and now a coining flip away from winning the continental cup with a sub 500TPE goaltender. With the expectation that some goaltenders could be on the block/moved during this off season; the current events might make some of the teams buying reconsider if they really should be upgrading or just continue to keep the sub-par cheaper options. So who should be buying during the off season? Well, any team looking to upgrade in net. While I first started think and writing about individual teams that I think could/should upgrade in net based on the new facts. I am not sure that would be fair to mention any of the teams that actually have a sub-500 goaltender as it is now the new meta!! Okay, then which goaltenders can or should be moved? Well, this question is more interesting but also just as weighted since any goaltender over 700TPE that could be moved may actually not have an home or a place to play due to the meta changing. So while Merome Dilson might be looking for a new home outside of Warsaw; he might be best placed to stay and limp into retirement unless Warsaw can pull of some magic out of their trade hat and rebuild the roster to be competitive for a few more seasons. Dalkr Vidarsson & Soju in Vancouver could be coming to a head but who will be moved and is there even a market for either tender since both are over 700TPE. Olober Syko has also been mentioned in the few trade conversations rather suggest that Moscow could be looking to draft a tender this off season and/or look at running the new meta. At the end of the day I think I would be surprised in more than one or two of these goaltenders move; if any at all as it goes against ……. …….. the new meta!!
