I've decided to stick around in the VHL for now, and a big part of that decision comes down to the teams I've been fortunate to be a part of. The Las Vegas Aces have been a great environment, and there's something special about the camaraderie we’ve built on and off the ice. It's a place where the game still feels fun, and that’s hard to find sometimes. Plus, there's always a bit of loyalty that comes from being with the team that originally drafted you- the Riga Reign will always have that pull on me, a reminder of the early days and the excitement of starting this journey.

However, I can't shake the feeling that my connection to the league isn't quite what it used to be. There's a sense that some of the magic has faded, and maybe it's all just a bit fleeting. It’s hard to put a finger on exactly why, but I’ve been around long enough to know that passion can come and go in waves. For now, I'm choosing to ride this current wave and enjoy the moments I have left with the Aces and Reign. Who knows how long it'll last, but at least I’m having a good time while it does. Sometimes, that’s all you can really ask for in a league like this.

I will also say that sometime you do need a take a break to get the passion back regardless of what it might be... VHL I think is no different as I know I had to take a step back to reconnect with the league.

Glad you are sticking with it for now but understand if you need to step back at some point!!

@Tate It's time to lower Fuhr's banner only to raise it again. We'll repeat this every time you start to lose connection to the league. We'll even have it set up with a remote control with variable speeds. Hell we'll put in LEDs and the Bad Boys theme.
