Following first playoff series win, Jacob Stone welcomes first child

Recommended Posts

Just to be clear up front, since I know some people may sometimes attribute something in their own personal life to their player, I do not have a child. This is 100% being written as a story for my player.

Playing in his ninth and final season, all with Malmo, Jacob Stone has finally seen some playoff success. The Nighthawks swept the Warsaw Predators, to the surprise of no one, and it was a big series for Stone. He had at least two points in every game, and he was named the first star in the series-clinching game three. While his performance may have been impressive, it was overshadowed by his wife Nina, who gave birth to their first child the following day.

There was little time for Stone to celebrate the series win with his teammates, as he departed from Warsaw as soon as possible to return to Malmo to be with Nina. The day following Malmo's series win, they welcomed their daughter Laura Marie Stone into the world. Early projections have Laura going 9th overall in the S122 VHL draft to the Yukon Rush.

Jacob was able to spend a few days in Malmo with his wife and daughter before heading to Moscow for the next playoff series. The Nighthawks find themselves in an early hole after losing the first two games to the Menace. Stone has continued his strong play with two goals and an assist in the two losses.
