After having quite the lackluster start to his VHL career, Johnny Tsunami seems to have found his footing finally. After starting his rookie season with an abysmal -13 +/- and only 24 points recorded during the Dynamos regular season and not performing much better in their post-season, questions arose on whether Johnny Tsunami would provide the output needed to keep up with the high-flying roster. His second season was an improvement, but still not a true testament to what Tsunami thought that he was capable of.

This season however would prove differently. After a slow start to the beginning of the season, Johnny would soon find himself in multiple multi-point games, maintaining above 1 PPG for a majority of the season. This would come from the chemistry developed between 2nd linemates Grimgor Ironhide and Sunset Moth. With a +/- of +19 and 81 points on the season it would be very easy to classify this season as Johnny Tsunami's breakout season. The question remains: can he consistently keep up the performance as a top 2 C through different seasons or will he fluctuate up and down? Tsunami will have different linemates this season with the departure of Ironhide to Helsinki, so it will be interesting to see if Johnny can maintain the momentum.
