Old Fart Makes Shocking S100 Return

Hello all! 

 

For my first media spot back involved in the league I figured I would just offer some low-quality word vomit to talk about how excited I am to be back and what I plan on with Wesley Church. It's so nice to see familiar faces and some new excited users since my last run here!

 

I'm Toast, someone who has been back and forth on VHL for over a decade now. I recall being a teen posting in the general chat asking for help finding a job and I remember spending countless hours on the forum instant chats with some beloved people. I'm a little older now with a lot of life experience under my belt. I've had a few players come and go here with the most recent being Lloyd Braun from a handful of seasons ago, but even then I was just coasting on welfare and getting trivia wrong every week. This time around I want the triple digit player to be something special and that's why I'm going to make sure that I give it my all this time around. 

My favourite VHL memories come from my time GMing Riga where Simon was more than generous and the Reign saw a miracle run go to a championship win. This was somehow 50ish seasons ago already but I still remember the excitement I had waiting for the sims to be revealed and anxiously scrolling slowly to reveal the scores. I met some really great users through those teams and was able to live a nice piece of the fantasy of GMing a team to the championship. Other than that though, there were definitely a lot of roles I probably could've given more to but didn't due to a lack of maturity or responsibility at that age. That's part of something I want to change with this new attempt to come back to VHL. 

 

I've had some free time come up and I know that I can commit to making sure I'm earning the TPE. I may be a little old for trying to figure out the new building system that is here to make updating in STHS a little more interesting, but I have the experience that can be used to pick up whatever information I need to succeed. I want to see Wesley Church end up in the hall of fame here, which isn't something I've accomplished as a player or user. While I've had many great memories on the league, it seems that I haven't been able to make that player that gets everyone buzzing. 

 

I've always said that I will be a team player and I want to be a leader for any team that is willing to give me a shot, but my goals this time around are going to be selfish. I want to be one of the best that the S100 class sees from sim performance. I'll say my prayers to Simon and take my TPE vitamins to make it happen. This time around, I'm going to be a star.
