Around the VHLM

 For some, it’s the off-season and like me that makes it a miserable slog until we wait for the opening night drop of the puck in S99. Added to this insult, I am traveling to Phoenix for work and need to complete my May 11 media spot as my time will be limited. So, for this week’s Around the League I will discuss the ongoings of the league, some interesting VHLM talk, and Miami’s future in the coming draft. 

 

 

 

VHLM Finals:

Two powerhouse teams in the Houston Bulls and the Halifax 21s set off for game 6 tonight with the Bulls up 3 games to 2.  The Bulls are coming off a 4-0 shutout victory stuffing the high scoring 21s.  Bartholomew Lorequavius @jaypc8237 as a remarkable 11 wins and 5 shutouts, and a 1.06 GAA (yes 1) in the playoffs, putting him in the conversation for playoff MVP.  Up front, the Bulls are led by a 1-2 punch in Feka Ohi Kau @Hacob and Gingy @MexicanCow123 who have 17 and 14 points.  

 

On the Halifax side, Hater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl is leading the charge with 12 points and goalie, Chad Powers @Big_Dyl has been amazing with 10 wins, an insane 1.49 GAA, and 4 shutouts.  Halifax has been winning with some great team defense and a lights out goaltender so far but will need that talented offensive unit to step up in game 6 to push this to an exciting game 7.

BAZOOKA JOE UPDATE: 

It’s been a while since I have done a @ScottyP update and I feel like I have neglected my lazy recruit.  Onto his 2^nd player, Bazooka Joe, he finished his second full season in the VHLM for the Philly Reapers.   He had a killer year for Philly scoring 22 goals 57 assists and 123 blocked shots.  Pretty good stats overall for the bruising defender.  Currently he is at 299 TPE which means another season in the M before being called up to Malmo.  A quick look at his updates I see that he forgot and only did practice facility for April 27^th!!!!!  Considering I work with @ScottyP I am utterly disappointed as he rarely is too busy during his workday to not at least click welfare.  Wait til I tell @Thunder .  But, weeks like this happen to us all and I love to give @scottyp shit.  Here’s to a new week and hope to see Bazooka Joe light it up one last season before he hits the show in Malmo.  

 

Miami GM

 

This week I was named GM for the Miami Marauders.  Having been @Ricer13 AGM for two seasons I am excited to take on the role.  The Marauders need EVERYTHING, lol.  We have two returning forwards and are empty in most positions. Luckily, @Ricer13 did a great job adding some picks to the cupboard so we can start building a fun club and help some newcomers grow and get Miami to a spot of competing for a playoff spot sooner rather than later. 

 

Also, after taking the role of GM I immediately asked (begged) @minman to be AGM in Miami.   @minman has been a constant in the locker room and amazing mentor to first gens entering the league.  A true asset to the league I believe it’s only a matter of time before he runs his own team .

You’re so right…. @ScottyP is shit.  Although he’s got potential.  I mean, just look at his work ethic.  It can only go up.  Right now he’s somewhere between P. White and Creature.  WTF.  Why’d we get rid of Mo?
