With the continuing disappointment that is the Toronto Legion's season, many are wondering why the team has been unable to pick up their play. They have a talented squad, no question, but their inability to put it all together has led to a number of questions. While it very well could be a drop in morale, one has to question where this drop has come from to render this team so mediocre despite high hopes early in the season.

Is it the coaching? Perhaps there has been an inability to find lines that work or even a failure to experiment and try new things. Unless this team is ok with a .500 record, you would think that some shakeups would be in order. Mix up the lines. Make a trade. Change up the strategies. We've seen a definite resistance to any major changes and you have to wonder why.

Could the blame also fall on Mike Szatkowski Jr.? He was brought in to essentially be the savior for Toronto, a team plagued by a lack of effective goaltending. But his presence has not been a significant help. The team has posted a 12-8-4 record with him in net, far from good enough to win the Continental Cup, and Szatkowski's statistics place him comfortable in the middle of the league's goaltenders. Is this age finally creeping up on the once highly regarded goaltender or are the Legion simply not giving him enough help? Well, we're halfway through the season with many questions and no answers. That is not good.
