Campbell nominated for Jack Reilly

Blake Campbell was recently notified that he had been nominated for the JAck Reilly award, which is awarded to the top GM in the VHLM. Campbell, unlike his other 2 nominees, faced much more of an uphill battle when it came to building a contending team. Both Oslo and Saskatoon were fortunate enough to have multiple strong pieces on their organizations, while Bratislava literally had holes everywhere you looked. When asked about his thoughts on this situations, this is what Campbell has to say.

 

It's an amazing honor to be nominated for such a prestigious award during my rookie campaign as a general manager in the VHLM. Our season was extremely successful and it wasn't easy to reach the limits we managed to achieve. It took a lot of hard work, dedication and determination. Along with those 3 things is time. It took a lot of time. But I'm sure most of you know that whom are GM's. As for winning the award, I'd strongly say that I'm a top candidate for sure but D_A put on a hell of a show too. He made a lot of solid moves, especially at the end of the season and gave it one hell of a run. Sure. Saskatoon was an epic roster but in my opinion, their new GM was gifted a bit stronger of a roster than the other teams.

 

Either way, I'm very honored to be nominated and wish the other candidates the best of luck. If I win, wow. That's all I can say. Amazing.
