Ahma 1,428
Superstitions Rituals This season has been a rough one and quite the roller coaster ride in Davos. At the start of the season, we weren’t so great. We won some, and we lost some games. The middle of the season was actually decent. We went on a little winning streak, like a 3 game winning streak then we lost one or two games. Right now we are in 6 game losing streak, which is bad and a horrible sign for the playoff push. We haven’t been able to find a solid flow or fluency into our game over the last week. Although, we did win 12 games in a row. We have been struggling against certain teams and some games we have won easily. At the moment we are out of the playoffs, but only one point behind Cologne. With a team as good as ours, we should be clearly in a playoff spot. The problem is we are too streaky of a team. Davos’ current stats: 35 wins, 22 losses and 3 overtime losses. We have 12 games to get into a playoff spot. It shouldn’t be that hard, but we have some very important games ahead As we all know, there are many hockey players with weird rituals before and after the game. Now we’ll talk about a certain team’s players rituals/superstitions. HC Davos Dynamo is a team full of weirdos with strange hockey rituals. There’s only four guys with no rituals. Those four guys are newly acquired defenseman, Patrick Demko, the team leading scorer, Devin Sundberg, the goalie Callum Sinclair (believe it or not he is pretty normal although goalies are usually very, very weird) and the trustworthy left winger, James Faraday. We will start with the most likely weirdest ritual. And it belongs to our beloved bulbous little 250 pound ball, Oskars Harumpf. He’s ritual is that he drinks a lots of milk and does weight lifting before the games. It always amuses everyone on the team to see the little guy lifting, after games he takes 5min naps every 15 minutes. He also changes the weight. Some days the weight is too much for him so Harumpf struggles a lot, that’s even more funnier. So far no one has had the courage to ask why he has those rituals. Next one on the list is the French man, Maxime Perron. He is from France so he has a manner of drinking wine before and after games. Although, Coach has told him to stop drinking wine, Perron wouldn’t stop. Good thing is that Perron probably drinks non-alcoholic wine. Then there are “The Gamblers”. Known for their money spending problems, Simon Valmount and Freedom McJustice tend to gamble after games. Any game which has money in it is fine. McJustice doesn’t seem to have any rituals before games, he might keep them as a secret. On the other hand, Valmount is very superstitious. He always puts on skates 4 times before games, he does small changes to the way he tapes his stick every game, Valmount also speaks to himself before and after games for 10 minutes. There also some rituals he prefers to keep as a secret. Mason Richardson. He screams at himself before games, which is why there is a special room built for reasons. In Davos money is no problem. Richardson gives motivation speeches to his teammates and listens to 80’s music before games. Vladamir Komarov is a guy who listens to classical music by himself, he says it keeps him focused. In the locker room he is a silent guy, but when you go to speak to him, he surprises you being very talkative and a nice guy, Valmount gets along with Komarov very nicely. One reason might be that they both speak bad English. Before games Faraday takes care of what music is played, but those who wants to listen to a certain music usually uses headphones. eaglesfan036 and Toast 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/24755-claimedthe-strange-people-in-davos-final-66/ Share on other sites
