Usually when a sports figure falls of the map and disappears for quite some time, the first thing you hear about them typically isn't good. Take the recent story regarding former NFL player Vince Young and his DUI as a perfect example of this. Some players struggle adjusting to life after their sport while others attempt to live a normal day to day life while working a steady nine to five. Apparently Titan Kronos is not one of those guys. Kronos, former Michigan State standout and USFL player, decided to not give up on his dream of being a pro athlete after the USFL closed it's doors for good. He decided it was time to reinvent himself and try his hand at another sport.

With no NFL teams calling his number, Kronos decided to turn his attention to a different contact sport....hockey. According to several reports coming out of the mid-west, Kronos hit the ice the day after losing his job to try and prepare himself to transition from the gridiron to the rink. With new dreams of one day taking the ice for a pro VHL team, Kronos dedicated himself to his craft and was able to transform his game. It seems like his work is starting to pay off as scouts for the VHLM, the VHL's farm system, have decided that his talents are up to par with what they expect to see out of their prospects. When asked about these reports, Kronos responded in typical fashion.

Oh yeah, it's happening. I'll actually be boarding a flight after I leave here to make my way to the VHLM headquarters and discuss how this whole thing can go down. From my understanding, once I declare myself eligible teams are able to claim me via a waiver system. Before I do that, I just want to make sure I take a look at all the minor details and see if this is really the best route for me to go. I know many people would be thrilled to get their foot in the door, but I'm not a regular person. I'm one of the best at what I do and now I have proven that I am able to do it in two different sports. People don't see me as a hockey player, but that's only because it's something they aren't accustomed to. I've already made the transition and look forward to busting some people's heads in and winning some games. Hockey is more of a marathon than football, but I'm not worried about any transition period for me. I've put the work in the adjust all that. If I decide to declare, I just hope that the rest of the league is ready because I won't enter quietly.

Whether he succeeds or fails, Titan Kronos' name will be a hot topic of discussion. With the former USFL WRotY possibly joining the mix in the VHL, the rest of this season certainly shapes up to be one to keep your eyes on.

Kronos is a sick name. I think the real mythological name for the Titan is Cronus.

This now makes me want to name my next player Hyperion or Helios, etc.

Usually whenever I create a player I check out the mythological names before I go anywhere else lol

Very cool article, must be a very talented player to make such a seamless transition from football to hockey. Not sure what kind of players yours will be, but with a name like Kronos and a past in football, I'm assuming I don't want to be checked by him. I don't see any grammar mistakes, good job. I hope that more media spots about him are to follow!
