DollarAndADream 3,356 Posted March 6, 2016 Share Posted March 6, 2016 I suppose for my point task this week, it only makes sense to give a focus to Ahma's player, Simon Valmount. Simon Valmount - 4th Overall ---------------------------------- ---------------------------------- The agency that brought Valmount to the table was one that flew fast out of the gates. Simon Valmount was a player controlled by Ahma, one of the league's most active members. Stepping into the VHL, Simon Valmount was respected throughout the VHLM, being the winner of the Matt Bentz Trophy for the minor system's top two-way forward. Although being originally drafted by the Riga Reign, he was traded to the Davos Dynamo before setting foot in the VHL. In his rookie season, he scored 31 goals and added 44 assists, giving him 75 points. He also had a whopping 302 hits in his rookie campaign, so being above PPG and throwing the body around that much, he was already one of the top two-way players in the league. HC Davos made it to the Semi-Finals against the Helsinki Titans in Season 45, although were eliminated by them, while Valmount had 5 points in 9 total post-season games. In his sophomore season, Simon was not as productive. He put up 20 goals and 49 assists, for a total of 69 points. Although only 6 points less than his previous season, he had 11 less goals, so he definitely took a hit in that category. Along with goals, he also was worse off when delivering hits, where he only had 278, which was 25 less than before. That's obviously not too much worse, however. In Season 46, the Dynamo made the post-season once again, where Simon Valmount had 10 points in 9 games. That's twice as many as his previous playoff stint, so his 3 goals, 7 assists, and 47 hits were a pretty big upgrade this time around. Now we head into Valmount's third season in the VHL, still remaining with the Davos Dynamo. One major thing that Simon did this season was that he led all VHL players in hits, where he put forward 406 of them. He had 75 more than the next best, as Lord Karnage had 331. This season, Simon Valmount started off hot, being one of the best players in the VHL, although majorly cooled off in the second half. He ended with 36 goals and 28 assists, with a sum of 64 points. Despite the fact that this was his worst season point-wise, he did put up his best season in the goal department. His previous best was 31, whereas this season he jumped to 36. In Season 47, Davos failed to reach the post-season, as they headed straight into rebuild mode. Heading into his prime, one can only be a little disappointed about the departure of Ahma. Simon Valmount was a stud of a first generation player, and that two-way trophy was a definite possibility for the future.
