fever95 333
Team Mercenaries Hope To Capture S48 World Cup Medal During the Season 46 World Cup tournament, Team Mercenaries were able to capture their first medal in World Cup history when they took home a bronze medal. Team Mercenaries wrapped up the round robin portion of the Season 46 World in second place with a record of 6-3-1, one point ahead of Team Scandinavia and six points back of first place Team Europe. Tyler Cote led the team in point scoring with 13 while Brady Stropko and Rami Jakobssen each collected 12 points, good for top five in tournament scoring for Cote. Brady Stropko also led the team in goal scoring with 8 and Tyler Cote led in assists with 10, good for first and second in the tournament respectively. Goaltender, Sandro Clegane amped up his game in the tournament, going 6-2-1 with a 0.930 save percentage and 2.01 goals against average, facing 273 shots in the process and recording one shutout. He led all World Cup goaltenders in save percentage and shutouts (tied), and was second in goals against average, shots faced, and wins. During the elimination round, Team Mercenaries dropped the semifinal game to Team Scandinavia by a score of 2-0 prior to taking home the Bronze Medal in a 5-1 drubbing of Team World. Sandro Clegane took home the Breakout Star, Top Goalie, and MVP awards. Now, fast forward to the Season 48 World Cup and Team Mercenaries have just three returning players in the form of Gifford Shock, Pablo Escabar, and Sandro Clegane and their record currently sits at 4-2-2 with two round robin games remaining and in a tie with Team Scandinavia for fourth/fifth place in the tournament, 13 points ahead of Team USA who have yet to win a game or even gain a single point. E'Twaun Delicious leads the team in both goal and point scoring with 6 goals and 8 points while Bubba Nuck is the assist leader with 6. This leaves Team Mercenaries without a player in the top ten points scorers, although Delicious is tied for the tournament goal-scoring lead. In goal, Sandro Clegane has posted a 4-1-1 record with a 0.937 save percentage, 2.11 goals against average, and two shutouts. Artom Zhumbayev has also played fairly well in his two starts, posting a 0-1-1 record with a 0.919 save percentage, and a 2.88 goals against average. Team Mercenaries remaining two games will be against Team Canada and Team Europe and then the elimination round will begin. If Team Mercenaries hope to go straight to the semifinals, they will need to leapfrog Team Scandinavia in the standings. Will they be able to capture another World Cup medal or will they go home empty-handed this time around? Keep tuned in to the World Cup on the VHL Network to find out the answer to that and many more questions. Evans 305
Review: World Cup seems to generate a good amount of content for these media spots. I like it! Seems like you guys are doing pretty well despite losing as many players as you did. Good luck to you and don't beat up on the US too much....we're just babies! 475 words.
