Calgary: A Place to Call Home

Recovering-from-Achilles-surgery-Stars-T

Calgary is where Kai Roberts will be calling his new home. He was drafted to the Calgary Wranglers with the sixth overall pick. General manager eaglesfan036 said he was glad he got Kai when he fell to sixth overall. He knew other GM's would worry about Kai potentially quitting on his team and retiring. Of course he has reassured teams he is sold on this player and he wants to be the best that he possibly can. He has made a promise to himself that he wants to be the best thing that has been represented by the Da Trifecta player agency. He wants to fix a name that has been tarnished by early retirements and then coming back out of retirement quickly. It seems like a precedent had been set and he wants to right that wrong. We know this isn't going to be easy and it is gong to take some time, but he is determined to get this thing taken care of.

There was suspicions that Kai was trying to move to goalie before the draft happened. He had played goalie some in high school as it's the one little known fact about him. Many stories circulated around whether he was actually sold on this player now. News broke and lots of GM's were worried even more now. Kai had a huge red x next to his name saying not to draft him. Even GM eaglesfan was kind of shaken up when news broke out. He had reached out of Kai and talked to him about what his concerns were. He wanted to make sure that he would be set on this player that he just spent the sixth overall pick on. He knows there were other talents there he could have taken but he took the chance. Now he is hoping that the big risk of drafting him would pay off handsomely. He has seen what could happen with players from the DT agency and he wants to have one of them. The team hasn't won a cup in a few seasons and Kai could be the centerpiece to one of those runs. That is of course if he sticks with the player.

Calgary was one of the teams that DT said he would never allow a player to go to but that was the past. With trying to get his name fixed he wants to open up all doors. He doesn't want to limit himself to certain teams and he wants to make the best of all opportunities given to him. One other thing he has to do is last eight seasons in the VHL. The longest player that played in the VHL represented by the DT agency was Davey Jones. He lasted around six seasons and then something came over him and he retired. After that came Niklaus Mikaelson and he lasted around five seasons. Niklaus was the highest practice hour player. Olivia Diamond followed but she fizzled out quickly. Kai is slowly passing Olivia in practice hours and he wants to keep improving from there.

Nice job, DT. I like the part about possibly switching to goalie lol didn't notice any grammar issues. Best of luck next season, I believe I saw before that you'll be in the minors for another season. Tear it up!
