You need to patiently use your hands to manipulate it until it grows into a rigid unit that is perfect for penetrating the other teams back end. That's a typical rookie mistake, you'll likely end up burning yourself and have to peel off and try again later. Better to involve your teammates and slide it up and down until you feel it's about to blow open.
