I think those lines could have made for a nice clean piece. Render placement is great although lighting and effects could use a bit of work. Text placement (are you seeing a trend?) is spot on but the effects (drop shadow and emboss especially) seem a tad heavy handed which makes the text a little much for a piece like this. 701 309 Posted June 9, 2016 Share Posted June 9, 2016 NEVER use emboss on text, it just looks incredibly tacky. The second render could use a blur/lower opacity. Left side on the background looks great, right side not so much could use more effects. Stroke isn't great on the text either. This isn't terrible, but little things are holding this back from being great.
