Like you said when you recommended it to me it's a slow start but I just finished Season 1 and it's great. There are a couple of annoying characters around the docks, but it's still good TV. The last season is the only one that's nothing more than "meh." Devise 4,475 Posted June 23, 2016 Share Posted June 23, 2016 One hundred percent agree. I watched it from start to finish late last year into this year with my roommate and it floored me. Probably presents some of the most realistic characters, stories, and world view your ever going to see. Also has a very strong series finale, something not enough shows do. People get obsessed with everything being neatly wrapped up at the end of things, but that isn't always how it goes in life, and The Wire just does a great job embracing that strongly.
