GMDA "furious" at draft lottery outcome

For the second season in the row, the Helsinki TItans and their GM Daniel Anderson have been screwed by the draft lottery and will be picking with the worst possible selection out of those with lottery picks. Last year it wasn't even us who had their pick screwed, it was the one we got from Quebec, but sure enough it happened again this season. I mean last season it worked out great because I got the guy I would have taken at 1st OA at 4th but it's always nice to have the luxury of choice. This year's draft has another amazing top 4, and I'll talk about each of them in a media spot at some point so I won't go too far into that, but again, I'd be happy to get whichever of them is available when we pick at 4 so that's not too much of an issue. It just makes me furious because I want to win something now and with the team mid-rebuild it's not likely anytime soon dammit, so at least let me have the luxury of winning the lottery. It's also unlikely that we move up in this years draft. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to, but it's just the nature of this league that assets either have too much value or no value to make it happen. I mean, we have 5 2nd round picks over the next two seasons but they don't really hold enough value for teams to be interested in acquiring them, so it means either giving up a 1st or a player, which isn't feasible from my end at all. It'll be interesting to see if I can strike a deal before the draft itself, but to all my fellow GMs: I'm open for business.

Idk man. The pressure of picking in the first round is pretty high. What if you completely fuck it up?

 

Should probably trade that 1st to Riga for a 2nd or something to take some of the pressure off.
