Da Trifecta 1,899
More Roberts Kai Roberts has been working his tail off all off-season. Kai Roberts would rather talk about the horrid rookie of the year award that he wasn't even on the ballot for. We all know about how he was rigged off of it. The focus will now shift towards his second season where he hopes to do the most damage. Coming off a dismal season where he managed to put up 19 goals and 36 points for a horrendous 55 points, he is hoping that he can aim for 80+ points in his second season. With William Scrubbington III leaving the team, they are going to need more points from their top line center. We all know Scrubbington wasn't a true center so Kai fits that spot already as he has 80 faceoffs and will be looking to improve that during the season. His linemate will be Shawn Muller and someone else. Hopefully his team can manage to bring in some free agents or make some trade because I fear this team won't be able to compete with the current roster that it has. This year Kai is hoping his 80 points or more will result in at least half of them being goals. He is more known for being a sniper but had to up his passing to be more of a play maker last season. Being on the first line he was feeding goals to Scrubbington and Muller so he had to do his best to help win games. The team managed to get the second seed in the European Conference. It wasn't that hard of a task as we knew that Helsinki and Stockholm were the lotto teams. Riga was once a lotto team but they managed to catch steam later on in the season. It would be that momentum that would help push them into the playoffs and knock Davos out of the first round. Kai's success comes from his teammates around him and not having ones that can produce at a top notch level will only hurt him. He is going to have to do a lot more this season as the points from Scrubbington have to go somewhere right? Next season Kai will be entering his contract year. Right now he isn't focused on that. He wants to help this team win in any manner that he can. He has been working on his passing quite a bit and has been hoping that he can be better than last year. He has also been hitting the gym working on his stamina and strength. He has talked about bulking up some and adding muscle to his current weight. He wants to add on about 10 to 15 pounds of muscle. He has always been rather smaller than other players and he hopes this will help him when he takes hits. Last year he took 155 hits and he wants that number to drop by at least 50 minimum. Also he somehow dished out 73 hits which was something that was rather surprising. He has never been known to be the physical type. Let's hope this season he can also cut down on those numbers as well. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/32099-claimedmore-roberts-reviewed/ Share on other sites
FacePuncher 1,343
Review: Psh, I was the one who was FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY! If you wanna hit more and get hit less, you gotta keep lifting bro! Seems like you could make a very good case for MIP if you meet all these goals you are setting for yourself. 530 words Da Trifecta 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/32099-claimedmore-roberts-reviewed/#findComment-359334 Share on other sites
