Kai and Team USA

Kai Roberts just felt the effect of losing his first cup. Let's just say that he has stated that it is not a great feeling. Pushing the league's best team to seven games was one of the biggest accomplishments this team had done so far this season. The fact they had a chance to get there in the first place was one of the biggest mysteries that the league has seen since the season 43 Seattle Bears. Coincidentally player agent Da Trifecta also had a player in that finals. It was one of the leagues elite goaltenders, Niklaus Mikaelson. We know the fate of Nik and we know the story behind him winning the cup. We also seen his career end very swiftly and it was what could have been a hall of fame career.

Now Kai looks forward to the World Cup where he will help lead team USA in battle. With teammates William Covington III, Travis Gowecny, AK47, Jordan Maverick and Diana Maxwell as the forwards, they will look to do some damage. Of course I am not forgetting about the defense which features players like Titan Kronos, Shayne Gow, Chuck Goody and Zach Voss. This team is very young and looking to show that they will be something to watch for in seasons to come. This team isn't as experienced as other teams and I actually think this is the youngest team in the tournament. The oldest player on the roster is William Covington III and this might be his last and final World Cup. He was a last minute addition due to his player agent deciding if it was worth it to play for his country. I mean who wouldn't want the joy of playing for his country and to show the rest of the world what he can do. Of course this team isn't as optimistic as they should be and for good reason. If this team can manage to do some damage when it comes time to the playoffs or whatever it's called, then they could be lethal.

Wait a minute. You didn't think I would forget Apollo Skye did you? Of course not. He is the man in the net and will be helping lead this team to hopefully some very solid wins. He will be with the team a few times as he hasn't even played his first season in the VHL yet. Hell he hasn't even been drafted yet despite being the surefire first overall pick in the season 51 draft. Being able to get experience early for him will help out when it comes time for the next world cup. Let's just see if he can stack up against all the other elite VHL goaltenders. This will be his very first test at other players outside of the minors. Will he be able to handle all the pressure? Will his team rally around him to help him out? Right now those answers can't be answered because the tournament hasn't even started. Make sure to tune into it and watch the games. I can say for sure this young USA team will give quite a few teams a run for their money.

Nice read. That cup loss was sad, I was really hoping you guys would win :( great work in the World Cup! Team USA surprised a lot of people, and your player was on my top forward ballot. Best of luck moving forward!
