It's not easy to really get that kind of name onto a sig so it was smart to use it as a focal point rather than trying to hide it. I agree that the face has too much detail (too much topaz?). I do like the colouring you did, it really makes certain sections just pop. I'd like to see a bit blurred maybe to get the focal point a little more defined but that's just my love of blur I think.
