Finn, Dragonslayer and Power take Oslo by Storm

Pajodcast trio players unite for the first time ever and make waves.

In life, some things are destined to do great things when put together: chocolate and peanut butter, diet coke and mentos, Boom and tits. The Oslo Storm were looking to find a similar level of chemistry heading into the Season 52 VHLM Dispersal Draft with their first three draft picks. 1st overall Maximus Theodore Power, goaltender extraordinaire and player of Ryan Power, was selected to lead the charge from between the pipes. 3rd overall we saw Xander Finn, successor of Daniel Braxton and the VHL representative for Kyle Snow was taken to guard the blue line. 5th overall Brock Dragonslayer, slayer of dragons and first time forward for Chris Miller was taken to strike fear into the hearts of opposing goaltenders. Each of these players were solid picks on their own, but when combined the Oslo Storm found that these three men have become much more than the sum of their parts.

The linking factor to these three players lay in their agents. Power, Snow and Miller have always had a very good working relationship and the few times their players have paired up we've seen strong success. One thing we've never seen though, was all three pieces of the Pajodcast Triforce brought together, until this year. The results speak for themselves. Twelve games into the season the Oslo Storm find themselves first in the league (albeit a game ahead of 5 of the other 6 teams) with an impressive 9-2-1 scoreline. Each man also has some impressive stats to show for their efforts.

Max Power may have the weakest case, but he is still impressive in his own right. A less than stellar save percentage of 0.895 (5th in the league) is likely due to his skaters only allowing him to face an average of 19.75 shots per game. His goals against average is much more impressive at 2.07 (3rd in the league) and he is tied for the second most shutouts at 2. One other area where Power shines is in the shootout. He has not yet allowed a single goal past him in a shootout (1st in the league....obviously).

Brock Dragonslayer has been even more impressive so far, making a name for himself in a number of stats. With 9 goals (2nd overall), 15 points (2nd among RWs) he's really been putting the Storm in game winning positions. Though lacking a bit in the defensive game, Dragonslayer fits well within the cog of his team, because the defensive game is already being handled.

Xander Finn has been a strong performer for Oslo at both ends of the ice. Offensively he's been putting up great stats with 7 goals (7th in the league) 10 assists (6th in the league for 17 points (2nd among defensemen) Finn also leads the league in power play goals with 5. Defensively he's been strong too, racking up 36 hits (5th in the league) and 22 shot blocks (4th in the league).

On paper, it made perfect sense that these three players would do great things when united. On paper, however, rarely matters in the VHL. In this case a strong bond of 4 generations of players stands with the three agents, and clearly some of that synergy has flowed into their players.
