Playoff Decided; First Round Bye In Limbo

With the VHLM playoff teams all but set in stone before the beginning of the season, it’s no surprise to those around the minor league who is sitting pretty right now in the VHLM standings. With only one franchise missing the playoffs now thanks to Moscow leaving the league at the conclusion of Season Fifty-One, the VHLM playoffs will see a new playoff format in couple of days. In today’s article we’ll take a look at some of the VHLM playoff teams and try our hands at terrible playoff predictions. We hope you’ll enjoy!

Bratislava Watchmen (101 Points – 1st Place; 1st Round Bye*)  ?app=core&module=system&controller=redir

Although we still have a handful of game remaining in the Season Fifty-Two regular season, we assume that the Watchmen will at least finish second and receive a first round bye into the VHLM playoffs. The Watchmen have been a dominant team all season long, a roster that seems to compete by committee each and every night. Lead by leading scorer, Alexander Thrower, hockey in Bratislava has once again become a great success on most nights. With a full roster and a strong nucleus heading into the playoffs, the Watchmen will be a team to watch this post-season.

Yukon Rush (92 Points – 2ndPlace)  cWhMzcZ.png

General Manager Sam Helberg had a great draft during this past off-season, but not even he couldn’t have guessed those picks would have progressed this far this early. Lead offensively by center Pierre Gaudete who has put up thirty-eight goals, and fifty-three assists on the season, the Rush have seemed to lack much secondary scoring outside that. The team hasn’t had to fear that much though on the season as they are currently back-stopped by mist4ke, who has had an amazing first year between the pipes for the Rush. Mist4ke currently finds himself in either first or second in most major goalie categories in the VHLM, something that will at least find the youngsters name on the ballot for top goalie come seasons’ end. With a tough schedule ahead for the Rush only time will tell if they will secure the second and final bye into round one.

Oslo Storm (89 Points – 3rd Place)  ?app=core&module=system&controller=redir

The Storm have been making noise on and off the ice all season now, but for these next few games the roster they assembled during the season will have their future in their own hands. Oslo will face Yukon four more times before the regular season ends, which will likely determine who will finish second in the World Conference and receive the First Round bye. The Storm have been led all season long by upcoming draftee Xander Finn, who has run away with the defenseman scoring with his thirty-six goals and fifty-eights assists on the season. Finn has to be considered a shoe in for the Ryan Sullivan Trophy this season as the VHLMs top defenseman, but were sure Finn would rather finish the season off with a Founder’s Cup instead. While in Net in Oslo, M.T. Power hasn’t really had to stand on his head much this season, the playoffs always prove to be a different animal; Power will be a great asset for Oslo if and when the time comes.

fuck you guy

lol third seed isn't bad either tho you get to pad your stats vs Bern

edit: I'd rather beat you so hard you drop to fourth seed though that way I can dodge you in the playoffs until the finals (if we both would make it) :)
