Rowe89 64
Player Name: Rask RoweAge: 18Height: 6'3"Weight: 218lbsPosition: CenterShoots: RightJersey Number: 89 Born On: May, 23rd, 1996Born: Toronto, CanadaDrafted: Season 53Overall: 9thTeam: Brampton Blades Rookies are always full of potential, some have the opportunity to become great legends in the VHLM and soon to be VHL. Some tend to get lazy instead of training and give up on their dreams of glory. This only proves the life qoute, "you get what you give". Rask Rowe isn't your ordinary Centerman. Most who play in his position rarely see the checking aspect of hockey as a useful style. Having a big body down the middle is threatening to the other teams ability in many ways, both offensively and defensively. Rask Rowe isn't an elite just yet but with a few season in the VHLM, will come to be an incredible power forward. Strengths Rowe has the usual strengths where a center would. The ability to win the faceoff draw is critical to any teams success and allows more frequent possession of the puck. The main factor of any player being a center is being aware of his skill in the faceoff circle. If you don't focus on the skill, why be a center? It's sad some centers don't care about possession and tend to lean on other skills. Rowe has another strength where many other skaters excell in which isn't generally focused as a center. The playmaking skill is the beginning of any wet dream for a sniper. Having a player who tends to pass between two wingers or an offensive defenseman is crucial. It opens up the window of opportunity to find to twine behind the goalie. His last strength as mentioned before is unfamiliar to the center position and many forwards who invest in it often play winger. The checking playstyle is sure to make Rowe a unique player in the VHL. His size will crush players who attempt to stop his momentum and will help the screening of many shots that might have been an easy save by the goalie. Weaknesses Even though Rowe has a strong sense of hockey, he does have his weaknesses. Well focusing mainly on the passing skill, his ability to score will cause frustrations as he misses a wide open net unless he meant to intentionally pass it. Don't expect him to be a game winning scorer. The size of the player definitely describes the acceleration and speed. With a guy like Rowe moving up and down the rink, he may by struggling to keep up to a speedster. Why not just toss your stick at them? Well, that may cause a penalty to your team and Rowe would have to hear it from coach Smarch (Not a good time). Thus, Rowe will continue to be slower then other players unless he breaks them all through his checking game which brings us to his next weakness. Discipline is somewhat looked down as the last thing to train in. Rowe isn't one to neglect it but with being the size he is, slower then others, and his tendency to hit then act like he didn't do anything wrong, might be a weakness for sometime in his career. Taking a penalty is common in the sport but do you know what grinds my gears? Bad penalties and that may be the case with Rask Rowe.
