*Guntis Petenis wants to do that against the Titans*

NEW YORK AMERICANS vs TORONTO LEGION

4-0 Americans without a doubt. Toronto doesn't wants to win this series, because the 5th pick is more valuable than pulling a surprise. Yes, Ironside is the best goalie on shootouts, but we have no SO's in playoffs and the Americans are too good to dragging this out to OT. Looking forward to witness an interesting QUE vs NYA series, where I'm going to root for the Meute, because I traded Virtanen to them and you all know my opinion on the Americans.

HELSINKI TITANS vs RIGA REIGN

Not really sure why, but Helsinki had so much problems with Riga in the regular season. Their record against Riga also isn't positive (3-4, without a SO loss). Moreso, Riga managed to outshoot and beat the Titans even without Virtanen. But no matter what, Helsinki is still favourite of this series, at least on paper. Two things that Helsinki should have against the Reign:

1. Offense. Sure, they had Axelsson with 98 points (best player on the Titants for sure), 81 points from Cornerstone and 71 points from a veteran in SWC III, but others weren't able to do much in this season. These ''others'' will need to pick it up and they need to do that immedately against the Reign.

2. Astrid Moon. Riga likes to shoot. I'm sure this team is going to put at least 20 shots per game, especially when they have ''Mr. I'm Gonna Shoot The Puck From Everywhere Even If This Shot Is Directed At The Own Net'' Fredinamijs Krīgars. So Moon needs to stay concetrated, otherwise we'll have a series.

If Helsinki will have these things right when they need it, we could see a sweep. But right now I'll say 4-2 Titans. They have a better roster and they want to continue their rivalry with Stockholm. I doubt Riga can get another 4 wins against the Titans, despite of their 4-3 record in the regular season. Or that's because I'm too humble, I don't know...

So I realized I can make it into the 500 word article for 6 TPE, hence I'm making the predictions of the conference finals.

NEW YORK AMERICANS vs QUEBEC CITY MEUTE

4-2 Quebec. NY's lack of depth is going to hurt them and that's not hate against this team. Just watch S53 Seattle and S46 Riga. It's not like depth=all, but this is still important if you want to have a success.

HELSINKI TITANS vs STOCKHOLM VIKINGS

4-2 Vikings. I know STHS can be a bitch to dominant teams (S49 Quebec - 27 W streak, Victory Cup and 1-4 loss to Toronto in conference finals), but right now this team is on the roll. I believe Helsinki still has a shot at the EU cup, but their offense...ehhh.

And the finals:

STOCKHOLM VIKINGS vs QUEBEC CITY MEUTE

I'd like to see this matchup in finals. Stockholm/Vasteras' last cup came in S26 and Quebec got their only cup in S35. Some of these teams would break their curse and that's why I want to see this final series. I'll say 4-3 Stockholm, they look better now.

That's it and I'm out.

6 TPE goes to Petenis.

@Higgins @Advantage @Frank @Devise @DollarAndADream tagging every GM of previously mentioned teams.

You have the best articles..

With that being said, there are probably twice as many instances where lack of depth in the Defensive position played no part in a teams Cup win. Personally, I would have chose a second and a third defenseman instead of adding a starting goalie (after we already proved to win with the one we have), but I trust the shit out of @Devise's process, so I keep my mouth shut.
