And we all know that games played is the most meaningless statistic on the scoreboard provided a goalie has played more than 4 games. After 4, you really get to judge a goaile on their merit. Based entirely on that logic and that logic alone, MT Power is a shoe in for the Shaw this season. The back up had an incredible win ratio, of 100 percent actually. On top of that he managed shutouts 62.5% of his starts. That is insane. So half the time he played he didn't even let in a goal. And he lead all goalies in save percentage and goals against to boot with an astonishing .946 save percentage and a 0.63 goals against average. Clearly he had too much of that Power, and the rest of the goalies simply couldn't match it. Kendrick 4,741 Posted May 14, 2017 Share Posted May 14, 2017 72 Games = VHL Season 82 Games = NHL Season Benchmark in the NHL is around 20 games for a goalie (or so I've heard) Which means benchmark here would be about 18 games.
