While the Season 55 Draft is garnering a fair bit of hype thanks to a good crop of prospects being available for that draft, there’s already a solid amount of promising prospects that have already declared for the Season 56 Draft. Four agents who have represented Hall of Fame personnel in the past are representing players in this draft class (which could rise to five in the event of Aleksi Koponen making the Hall of Fame this season), the most intriguing of these being Aackckqz Ky, represented by Ron Dayne III who helped Edwin Reencarnacion make the Hall of Fame. Ky is without doubt a one-of-a-kind prospect; a player who possesses a very well rounded skillset and a truly unique story and background that has had people compare his marketability to that of Tim Tebow when he first entered the NFL. However, like Tebow, there have been a lot of questions as to how well Ky will do in the VHL, a league which tends to benefit players who specialise in fields rather than those with well-rounded skill-sets. However, Dayne has put it upon himself to null any concerns that GMs may have had regarding the Ukrainian defensemen in a flyer he submitted to all GMs citing how Ky compares with current VHL stars. We gained access to the flyer and here are some extracts from it:

“Ky possesses exceptional passing ability, in fact he’s even considered greater in that regard than Rookie of the Year Award contender John Locke”

Yep, Ky is a better passer of the puck than John Locke, the third overall selection back in Season 53 and a player that picked up 44 assists in his rookie season. While Dayne is correct that Locke isn’t as good a passer as Ky, he’s kind of skipping over the fact that quite a few of Locke’s assists came from deflected shots, and shooting is something that Locke is vastly superior at doing than Ky.

“Ky has the pure strength to make some of the VHL’s most brutal players, like Motherfucker Sharpe, look substantially weaker by comparison”

Believe it or not, the guy who makes a living through trying to beat people up isn’t even a match for Ky strength-wise. Granted, just because you start a lot of fights doesn’t make you a strong individual, but it goes without saying that Sharpe will probably think twice about going toe-to-toe with Ky.

“His versatility is unparalleled”

Now this one isn’t a fact based on technicalities as Ky’s skill set is to the point where he’ll be able to play any position on the ice, the fact that work in his favour in that regard is that he is better than any other VHL defenseman in face-offs and penalty shots.

“A lot of focus for teams nowadays is finding a prospect that has the potential to lead their team to glory not just with their skill as a hockey player, but also with their ability to motivate a team when they need it the most. Regarding the latter, Ky has the motivational ability of some of the VHL’s finest leaders”

Dayne’s right here in that Ky possesses leadership abilities that the VHL’s greatest leaders themselves did not possess. In fact, Ky’s leadership attribute of 48 is better than that of four-time Grimm Johnson winner Zach Parechkin!

“Remarkably disciplined, Ky has the presence of mind to restrain himself from committing silly penalties that would land him in hot water and put the team under unnecessary duress”

There’s been quite a few players who managed to win the Mirkka Virkunnen trophy without adding a single point to discipline, so with Ky already being at 50 discipline (surprisingly not the highest for a VHL defenseman as Izidors Balders has 51), this is perhaps an award that Ky will get a shot at. Now let’s just hope that fighting slider doesn’t go out of control again, eh?
