The way you rendered his jersey color has that retro look to it.Im pretty much a fan of most things retro/throw back,so that's a winner in my books.

I dig the flame rendering around his body as well.

What distracts me is the brightness of the white back ground,it's a little too bright for me.I would have toned the light down just a shade so it wouldn't stand out so much.

I think the font is nice as well,but is a touch washed out due to the flame effect.A bit more boldness to it so it's more clear.

And the flames slightly takes away some of the sharpness of the player but it's still a good render.Nice job!
