Tyler 885
Burger King Goalie Houston, Texas Yukon Rush (Davos Property) Season 58 Player Burger King was born in Houston Texas twenty years ago. His parents owned a burger king in town and figured naming their child after their stories (and underrated IMO) restaurant was a good idea. CPS probably disagrees, but it seems to have worked out as the 20 year old goalie is now working his way through the VHL ranks. He has signed a lifetime contract with HC Davos Dynamo and should be a stalwart between the pipes for the foreseeable future in Switzerland. He is a big body presence standing at about six foot four which is necessary size these days to be a starting goalie. He is currently reporting to the Yukon Rush and has played in two games where he was shell shocked overall but has shown some solid things as well. He played his junior hockey at the University of Alaska Fairbanks but left school early to, as mentioned before, report in Yukon has asked by his VHL club. He projects to be a top goalie in the league by the time he hits his career prime and hopefully GM Tyler Owens will put a good enough team around him. Pros' 1. Size: This matters. A lot. As a goalie having size can often times make up for any issues you may have in other areas of your game. It means you don't have to be the fastest or the smartest goalie, you just have to exist as god made you. The goalie has always had size all the way up through the hockey ranks and it seems as if he is capped out at around six foot four and 200 some pounds. 2. Competitiveness: He is a competitive goalie who doesn't seem the type to ever let a game be too big for him. He seems to play better in bigger games and this has been a trait of his through the years. He is a gym rat who always wants to get better and is a leader on his teams. 3. Rebound Control: He is one of the better goalies at putting a rebound exactly where he wants it to be. He has very active pads and is able to lead his team on the rush through his pads and by placing the puck where he wants it to be. It also helps in terms of the fact that he makes sure there are fewer rebounds. He doesn't give too many second or third chances and this is an area of his game where he is only going to get better with experience. Con's 1. Reaction Time: He has a bad habit of reacting poorly to plays and not following them as well as he should. It is probably his Achilles heel and the one thing he needs to have fixed before he can start at the big league level. 2. Skating: He isn't the best skater which means he sometimes gets caught out of position if he leaves the crease. He is not an aggressive goalies either which plays in to his skating and means he can sometimes get caught too far back in his net and even with his size it leads to scoring chances and goals for the other team. 3. Confidence: He is competitive and good in big games but if he lets in a bad goal you might as well add two sometimes. He lacks the consistency he is going to need to be good just yet, but he has a long road of development ahead of him. It will help to have a good group of guys around him on the ice and off of it and it's up to the GM to get that group around him from the start. Having a veteran like Rhett Degrath around early in his career will only help. DollarAndADream 3,356
Review: That pic makes me laugh with the goalie mask all fucked up on his face. It's always interesting making a goalie, and I wish you will in doing so.
