Commissioner Beketov 9,025 Posted February 9, 2018 Commissioner Share Posted February 9, 2018 I don’t think you quite read everything in your skimming. The Update scale increased not because of the partnership but because of the new forms of ways to earn TPE and the increase in 590 content. So you have 1 extra from 590, 2 new from press conference, and all jobs are going up by 1. That means the weekly cap is going from 9 to 12. That’s the reason for the update scale changes, nothing to do with the partnership. You are right that pension does become more appealing being at 5 while PT’s are at 6; that I don’t love but it’s easy to adjust later if things are getting imbalanced. That is kinda based on the partnership because if we weighted our PT’s more than everyone else’s obviously it wouldn’t be a fair deal for them. We do imagine that welfare people are less likely to do the full 12 cap so there’s still plenty of bonus for active members. der meister 3,187
I read it after posting. Still seems strange that I can get 5 from welfare, 2 for for a presser, and 4 from a radio spot with the +1 bonus. With a cap of 12, getting 11 for minimal work seems odd. Plus, what’s the motivation for having a job here? Not that I have time to have a job here, but hypothetically. I’m taking a wait and see approach but there doesn’t seem to be much to offset the welfare bonus for the non welfare people, which was my main point. Personally I would have preferred to keep welfare at 4 but it was decided that we wanted to keep rewarding people via Pension. Most don't do radio or buy the upgrades so you are a bit of an outlier there. We will have to see how things are going and potentially tweak some numbers around later if we see a lack of PT's being done. Like I said, I would imagine most people who take welfare won't be doing any other tasks so it's likely a natural separation between active PT people and welfare guys will still emerge. der meister 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/47006-pain-101-22/#findComment-500953 Share on other sites
Senior Admin Will 4,660 Posted February 9, 2018 Senior Admin Share Posted February 9, 2018 Honestly imo pension should be eliminated and then bring the Welfare upgrade back to the store. So if someone wants to claim 5 a week for welfare there should be a tradeoff between that and other things like double predictions or depreciation modifiers.
