Breaking news out of Yukon tonight: Rush Left Wing Oyorra Arroyo has finally blocked a shot. This is not a drill, we have an official blocked shot on record for Arroyo. The shot was taken by the very talented β-OSL C2 of the Oslo Storm, who was immediately benched for the remainder of the game for bringing embarrassment upon his family. It took 39 long games, but he finally managed to get the monkey off of his back. He was one of just two skaters averaging at least 15 minutes a game to not record a single blocked shot, leaving just his teammate Yandall Beast as the last one remaining. The Yukon Rush entered the night suffering from a season long 5 game losing streak, allowing the Oslo Storm and the suddenly surging Las Vegas Aces make up some ground on their large first place lead. This blocked shot may have been the spark that Yukon needed to get back on track, as they went on to show Oslo their place with a dominant 5-1 victory. Next up for the Rush will be another home bout against the Saskatoon Wild, who actually managed to pull off the upset over Yukon just a week ago. Yukon leads the season series against Saskatoon 8-2.
