Your choice of a black back ground with a bluish white highlight around the player looms good. It almost lookalike its flowing from his jersey.

I find his face a tad too light bit it looks alright.

There is enough contrast between the BG and the player. The whole SIG feels like it was done in pastel..looks nice.

I think your font is plain looking bit its decent. It stands out great with the white color and I like how you have both names angles differently.

Its a pretty nice looking render.
