State of the league

The playoffs are well under way and while one series looks to be over soon (New York over Helsinki) the other is tied two to two and could go either way. It could be heartbreak for the Legion or the Bears but it looks like we're headed for a seven game series. Meanwhile the rest of the league is looking ahead to the off season and making the appropriate changes to be still playing at this point next season. Riga, Quebec, Calgary and Davos are all eliminated with each team having had different expectations this year it's hard to judge each season as a success or a failure. There's little doubt it was a failure in Riga where the expectations were sky high. We could be seeing the real end of an era in Latvia with many of the veterans slotted to maybe move in the off season. Quebec, Calgary and Davos meanwhile are in various stages of rebuilding at the moment and should have bright futures with solid management decisions.
