Shawn Gretzky is entering his 7th season I think now, and I don't know what to do after that. He is on the verge of retirement and just one his first Championship in the VHL after a heartbreaking game 7 loss in S54 while playing with the Dynamo who drafted him. Gretzky was supposed to be my one team player but it doesn't always turn out that way. After I told @Tyler I was willing to stay through the rebuild, he decided to trade me which probably was the right thing to do to help his rebuild. Gretzky was traded to the Calgary Wranglers for 3 first round picks. That didn't work out as we were ousted in the quarterfinal or the semi finals but to be fair the Wranglers were the last place team the season before. So we built a lot in that first season. However, it was announced that the Calgary GM at the time wanted out and this was around the time the league wanted to disband 2 teams. Instead of losing the storied Wranglers franchise we transferred the Stockholm Vikings roster over to Calgary as that GM took over them. So that meant Gretzky was forced into a Dispersal draft where he was the best player TPE wise in the draft. Gretzky found himself going 2nd overall to the Seattle Bears where he has been ever since. I don't regret anything in my career, I have always been a team player and I even resigned as soon as the Seattle GM reached out to me about an extension. Overall, Gretzky has been ok with 511 points in 432 games. If he can averaged 50 points over the next two seasons, he will beat Shawn Muller as my most successful player point wise. That is the goal right now, I am not sure what to expect HoF wise as I am still looking for at least 1 HoF player.

Shawn Brodeur on the other hand has been struggling to reach the 20 win plateau that we saw in his rookie season when he had 21 wins. However, Brodeur set a new career mark with a .924 save percentage and tied his career high with 6 shutouts. As he get's better year after year, as will the team, it should be a lot better going forward than the dreaded sophomore slump where he won only 8 games and a save percentage under .900. I think Brodeur actually has a lot of potential now that I realize I'm just entering my 4th season with him. I plan to play all 8 seasons with him so my last two seasons I will have Brodeur by himself before I can make a recreate.

I don't know what to create for my recreate. I am leaning towards a defenseman because there seems to be no defenseman these days. I also am torn on a winger as well because those also seem to be short on premium players. However, I have made a winger, than center, than goaltender so now it should be a defenseman. So keep your eyes open for Shawn Bourque.
