DollarAndADream 3,356
Boeser's Progress With Season 60 of the VHL underway and 14 games into the season, let's take a took at the progress of Bo Boeser who now plays for the New York Americans. Boeser's career has been cut short, with his Toronto team having to go into a rebuild, so he was traded to play out his final season in the VHL as a New York American. So far at the 14 game mark, things have gone incredibly well for him. He has instantly found chemistry with his New York teammates, more notably Aksel McKnight, Felix Savard, and Chase Keller. Sergei Komarov is not far behind either. So far at this point of the season, Bo Boeser leads all players in points in the VHL. He has 32 points in 14 games, which is over a 2PPG pace. He also has the highest points per 20 minutes in the league. Felix Savard, his teammate, is close behind him with 29 points, while Keller is in 4th with 25, and McKnight in 5th with 25 points. Four New York Americans hold down the Top 5 players in the VHL. Fred Krigars of the Riga Reign holds down the #3 spot on the leaderboards with 26 points. Many players are surprisingly doing better than last season's star studded superstar Franchise Cornerstone, who himself has 18 points. Looking at the goals category, Boeser is up there as well. He has 12 goals, which is good for 3rd overall in the VHL. Above him in 1st is teammate Felix Savard with 14, and Riga's Fredinamijs Krigars with 13 in 2nd place. Tied for 3rd with Boeser is Chase Keller, another Americans teammate. There is a four way tie for 4th place in goals, where John Locke, Mattias Forsberg, Verner Reinholdt, and Jack Shephard all have 11. It has been quite a goal scoring race so far in the league, especially considering how many players have 10 goals or more at the 14 game mark. -------------------------- -------------------------- Over in the assists column, Bo Boeser holds down the number one spot there as well. He has 20 assists in 14 games, with the next best having 18, and that player is Helsinki Titans defenseman Ay Ay Ron. Both Felix Savard and Aksel McKnight have 15 assists, and are also on New York. Then we have Sergei Komarov holding down a four way tie for 5th in assists with 13 of them. As a center, Boeser is obviously the best in the league right now, considering he is the best in the VHL. Fred Krigars, a familiar name in this article is 2nd in points for centers with 26 points, 6 points behind Boeser. Things get a lot closer for centers after Krigars, where there's Chase Keller (25), Mattias Forsberg (24), Peter Quill (21), Sergei Komarov (21), and Marc-Alexandre Leblanc (20). Leblanc is Bo Boeser's past teammate from the Toronto Legion, who now plays for Helsinki. As for faceoffs, Bo Boeser is the league's 4th best with 59.20% won. In 1st place is Seattle Bears' Shawn Gretzky with a 63.5% winning percentage. 2nd place is Krigars with 60.31%, and 3rd is Chase Keller with 59.72%. Both Boeser and Keller have around a 59% faceoff chance, so that will bode well for the New York Americans. As the season goes on, the scoring races will be something very interesting to look at, as it looks very competitive so far.
