"Off the right penalty box, against the left goal pole, nothing but net," Evan R. Lawson says as he lines up his shot. THWACK! The puck richochets against the box but narrowly missed the net. "What child's play, rook!" says Niko Bogdanovic. "Watch a master at work." Bogdanovic takes a big swing but does not get full contact, causing the puck to go reelling off to the corner. Jasper Canmore looks up just in time to get out of the way, and exasperated he shouts at the others, "What the hell are you doing?!" "Oh relax Canny, we're just having a little fun!" quiped Bogdanovic. Canmore got hot. "I told you don't call me that, and what kind of role model are you setting for these young players?! We're in the thick of the playoff race and you're out here acting the fool! We've got a ton to work on, especially our passing, and here you are playing horse and teaching all our shooters bad habits! You don't see this kind of stuff happen in New York or Seattle! You think Helsinki just takes a day off from their game? No, if we want to win this thing we need to stay focused! No more horseing around, just get to work!"

Canmore storms off, leaving the rest of the forwards in contemplation. After a minute, Oyorra Arroyo pipes up, "He's right guys, we shouldn't be doing this here. Street hockey horse is much more entertaining. Meet me in the alleys tonight, I'll setup the trash cans and we can go for round 2!"

Too far to travel for during the series, but in the offseason, you guys are certainly welcome to come out to Shadow Pond and set up in the pathway through the garden area. Boris won't mind.

(Just to let you in on it - Lawson is a character from the show Royal Pains, which ended a few years ago after 8 seasons. I'm playing this as he quits at the end of the show and becomes a hockey player. They're based in the Hamptons, Boris is a rich guy with a massive mansion called Shadow Pond, and Evan and Hank lived in the guest house for much of the run of the show. There's one of those super fancy gardens like you'd see at a palace or something, and the pathway down the middle is big enough for cars to drive through, so it would be great for something like this.)
