Ottawa Shortcomings & Vega Performance

The season for some had already ended weeks ago, but for the Ottawa Lynx, the dream was still alive. Day after day, the Lynx and the Wild were battling back and forth for the championship every young player was dreaming of obtaining, and while it wouldn't happen for all of them, it was about to happen for some of them. When everyone in Ottawa seen game seven in their sights, their eyes lit up, the hearts of all the Ottawa fans were lifted, and there was that last glimmer of hope, that the team would succeed.

But to turn a sappy story into a crappy story... the Ottawa Lynx lost the game, by one...freaking...goal. It was devastating, it was hard to comprehend, and none of the Ottawa players wanted to believe they came all this way to lose, but there was some upside...they at least made it to the finals, and only two teams can say that every year and this year was a good one, and the team seemed to be in good spirits about it all, about as good of spirits as they could be, anyways.

Not all of the news was bad however, there was some good to it all. Mikhail Vega was a star for his team, despite being one of the youngest on his team, he was by far one of the best. While his regular season was just sort of, meh...his playoffs were one to remember. Mikhail was able to put up five goals, ten assists for fifteen points throughout the playoffs and while this doesn't sound like a lot, he actually managed to lead all of the forwards at every position in points, while being top ten in the playoffs for goals and top three in the playoff for assists. He was only beaten in points by one player who was his own teammate on defense, Ironside (19 points), but this was a huge milestone for him, because despite not winning, his name could be mentioned for playoff MVP due to his age, but we'll have to see about that.
